I forgot the e-mail/Campus Online password. Can I retrieve the password?

Answer 1 :

Please contact or visit the ServisDesk Counter at the respective campuses at the operating period to get a temporary password. You must change your temporary password to a new password at https://self.usm.my.

Question 4 :

How do I create/get a new student/staff e-mail?

Answer 4 :

Please follow the steps below :

  1. Please identify the PIN no. attached along with the offer letter.
  2. Staff
  3. The PIN number is provided by the Human Resource Division/School/Research and Creativity Management Office
  4. New e-mail applications for Backup Staff will still be done using a form (please refer to the respective Schools)
  5. Students
  6. The PIN number is provided through the website according to student’s classification

First Degree Student : browse https://pohon.usm.my

Postgraduate Student : browse http://onlineips.usm.my/admission

  1. New e-mail applications for Short Term Students from the International Mobility and Collaboration Center (IMCC) from School of Languages, Literacies and Translation (SoLLaT) must be directly referred to the respective offices.
  2. Browse https://self.usm.my
  3. Choose Register New ID.

Question 5 :

I could not login using the original username and password and I am certain I have keyed in the correct password. What should I do?

Answer 5 :

Please follow the following steps :

  1. Choose ‘Clear History & Cache’ and ‘Cookies on your web browser according to the type of web browser you are using, either Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.
  2. Restart the web browser and login once again. Please make sure you type the email ID correctly and there is no spacing after @student.usm.my or @usm.my.

 

E-mail

Question 1:

I just registered my email at https://self.usm.my, but there was a mailbox error while logging in (Error – something when wrong).

Answer 1:

This problem occurred because the mailbox has not existed. For your information, the mailbox will be generated automatically after the 24-hour period of generation of identity.

If a similar error occurred after 24 hours, please contact the ServisDesk counter in your respective campus or lodge an online report at the Portal, https://sd.usm.my

 

E-Learning

Question 1:

I have a problem to access the E-Learning portal. What should I do?

Answer 1 :

 You need to make sure that the URL address for the e-Learning portal is correct as shown below :

Can I activate the wifi connection on my laptop/PC/smartphone/tablet?

Answer 1 :

Yes, you can, if you are a staff or an active student.

 

Question 2 :

I am not a staff or a student. Can I use the USM wifi facility?

Answer 2 :

Please visit the ServisDesk Counter with a letter of support from the University to get USMWireless login id.

 

Question 3 :

What is the difference between USMSecure and USMWireless?

Answer 3 :
